Maureen Stewart has been working in Public Health Education since 1994 designing, developing, and implementing learning on a range of topics. She employs inventive techniques to move willing participants to grow and change. As a learning, development, and facilitation consultant, Maureen has worked with dozens of non-profit organizations, including FHI360, advancing the skills and knowledge of staff to meet the ever-changing needs of external and internal clients. She's also been instrumental in helping organizations reconcile their needs for a more inclusive environment by leading them through difficult conversations so they can have better conversations. Maureen has also been working with organizations to train healthcare practitioners on providing culturally competent care to HIV-positive clients, she believes the cultural competency message extends far beyond public health. Prior to consulting full-time, Maureen served as the Senior Training Specialist at the American Social Health Association directing training activities for the CDC National AIDS, STD, and Immunization Hotlines. Her work has always focused on healthy decision-making, healthy behavior, and lifelong communication skills needed to make those changes. Mrs. Stewart graduated from the University of NC at Chapel Hill in 1996 with a BA in Psychology.
